Speed without sacrifice

The Claymore was a medieval Scottish two-handed great sword. Extremely long - typically the blade was over 140cm in length - the Claymore was more than merely a sword: it was a symbol of strength and martial prowess, and a link to the Highlands for whoever bore it.

Deviate’s Claymore is the same. It’s the biggest, most brutal, fastest bike we’ve ever made.

And just as the sword hails back to the Highlands, we designed the Claymore with all the experience we gained from the Highlander - and the Guide before it.

We wanted this to be the best handling, long-travel bike out there - and we think we’ve succeeded. It’s the perfect combination of blindingly fast on the straights, slot-car accurate in the corners and vastly capable on the ups. Winching to the top has never felt this good.

High Pivot Point:
The key ability of a high pivot suspension system is its unique ability - thanks to the pivot position and how that relates to the rear wheel’s response to impacts - to take the edge off bigger hits, to smooth out the nastiest of trail jank, and to stabilise the bike when it’s deep in the suspension stroke. Couple this with an idler to minimise suspension-induced kickback, and you have a pretty magical system.

Deviate’s vast experience at crafting high pivot bikes means that ours have a suspension and idler system that is the best of all possible worlds. The experience gained from crafting the Highlander and the Guide before it ensures a class-leading climber, and a warp speed descender, no matter what terrain you’re charging down, up or through.

Its twin tube design allows the gas pressure to consistently backup the low-pressure side of the piston to keep it at a controlled level. The RXF38 m.2 delivers hard-hitting dual-crown downhill performance to the single-crown scene. A low profile single lock on grip, designed to reduce arm pump and hand numbness. The Diamond knurled texture, with saw tooth finger ramps and a super tacky 20A compound provide ultimate traction. A headset designed to bridge the gap between the 40-series and 110-series headsets. Hellbender 70 has all the design characteristics, sealing elements, and Hellbender bearing found on a premium 110-series headset, at a price closer to a 40-series.

Machined from 6061 T-6 aluminum with a bright-dip black anodized finish, and features a low-friction upper bearing seal and a double-lip lower bearing seal that combine to completely seal cups from external contaminants – delivering exceptional durability and reliability previously limited to our premium 110 series.

The world’s shortest, long travel dropper post. Get the longest travel dropper that will fit you and your bike. 

More drop = More fun. The further out of the way you can get your saddle on downhills the more confidence you’ll have and the harder you can ride. The shortest stack height of any dropper, period. No other post gets your saddle lower. And with the shortest effective length of any equivalent travel post on the market, most riders can now upgrade their 125mm or 150mm post to a 170mm OneUp dropper.

Tuneable - don’t get stuck between dropper sizes. The unique OneUp travel adjust shims allow you to custom tune your post by lowering the travel and extended length of your post by as much as 50mm in any increment you like. Want an oh so fashionable 128.99mm drop? You got it! Drop tuning can be done on-bike, tool free and without removing the saddle or touching a shock pump. Lowering the post travel also increases bushing overlap, which is great for heavier riders.

The Minion is a popular downhill tyre providing grip and control in loose and muddy downhill conditions.

Dual Compound
Two compounds used within the tread of select tyres to offer lower rolling resistance and increased cornering grip.

EXO Protection Technology
An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tyres. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.

3C Maxx Terra
An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tyres. 3C Maxx Terra is softer and offers more traction than 3C Maxx Speed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than Maxx Grip.
